I haven't posted here in a long time. I'm tired. I have at least 5-6 weeks of pregnancy left and that makes me crabby.
We have had a lot of happenings: STINK is 5!!! I truly can not believe he is 5 already. Time has just passed so quickly!
To celebrate, I planned a Spy themed birthday party. I am not sure how, but starting around springtime, playing spies became Stink's favorite thing to do. With the help of the Internet, I found some absolutely fantastic ideas to make the party (for kids who can't yet read), a ton of fun. The best part? If he stays excited by spy type things, we could do the theme again and still have a ton of different activities to try out. Yes, there are pictures-- thanks to my little sis who came by to take some! Otherwise, there likely wouldn't be any! Another post, yes?
Our annual apple picking was last weekend. It was Stink's 6th year of heading to the orchard --he was 6 days old when we first took him! Peach had her 3rd apple picking. And we were wondering how life will feel when we take Baby Boy Swizzle at the age of 10 months next year....and already arguing if we will take a stroller! I, personally, would always rather carry my babies. I'm not crazy about strollers.
Speaking of Jet Fighter XT, due to arrive in about 5-6 weeks, he is getting big. I am very large and uncomfortable. Everyone looks at me like I am about to give birth at the drop of a hat and tells me how uncomfortable I look. That makes me feel much better.
Stink and Peach are really getting excited for Jet Fighter to arrive. We picked up our baby gear we thought we were done with from my sister's house (we told her if she wanted it, she had to store it.) and brought it home to start to make some final preparations. The kids were so sweet with each other, playing with their baby dolls, tucking them in, and Stink, singing little lullabies to them. They insisted last night that we bring the bassinet in their bedroom for the night so the babies could sleep near them. They checked out the floor gym, putting their dolls under the dangling toys, when Stink asked me to teach him "This Little Piggy" so that he could play with the baby's toes while he lays on the floor gym. Seriously, they were way too cute!
As much as time feels like it is passing so slowly, I know the next month will fly by, just as September disappeared in a flash! Soon, we will be a family of 5 and one fur baby. I will be the mom to 3. I am so lucky and ready for Stink and Peach to meet their newest sibling. For as great as Stink and Peach get along now, I hope that they continue to have a great relationship into adulthood, and welcome this little guy with all the love that we share with them and they share with each other.
